Projects

In addition to my research, and data visualization experiments, I occasionally develop stand-alone side projects; these are hosted here, as well as on my Github page.

Online Interactive Codebook for the National Survey of Family Growth

This is a searchable online database for the male and female respondent files for most of the recent survey waves of the National Survey of Family Growth, a truly awesome survey which asks people about their entire reproductive histories (as well as other topics). I created this because the old interactive codebook for the NSFG was deactivated; I also think it has some key advantages, namely that I think it has a bit of a simpler search function, and that it allows you to easily compare response options across waves and between the male and female files - something which can really trip up a lot of analyses. Note that it is a bit slow, though not fatally so; also, I am not affiliated with the NSFG, and this is just meant as a helpful reference tool.
